ARE YOU INTERESTED IN JOINING THE PGO COUNCIL?

PGO Council consists of volunteer professional geoscientists and members of the public committed to safeguarding the public and natural environment by ensuring the integrity of the regulated profession of geoscience. This is an opportunity to contribute at a strategic level, using your knowledge and expertise to help guide the organization.

The PGO Council is a 20-member board of directors defined by the Professional Geoscientists Act, 2000. The Council governs the activities of the PGO by:

- Planning and setting directions for the regulatory body.
- Monitoring progress and lending advisory expertise on key issues.
- Supporting the role of the PGO as the professional regulator for geoscientists in Ontario.

Over the history of the PGO, many of our registrants, as well as non-registrants representing the public, have volunteered to serve on Council and their experiences were overwhelmingly positive. We ask that you volunteer some of your time and talent and join your colleagues in serving the public interest through PGO.
