ARE YOU INTERESTED IN JOINING THE PGO COUNCIL?

PGO is always looking for professional geoscientists and members of the public to volunteer for a position on our Council and contribute at the strategic level with their knowledge and expertise in guiding the organization.

The PGO Council is a 20-member board of directors that was created and defined by the Professional Geoscientists Act, 2000. The Council governs the activities of the PGO, by planning and setting directions and expectations for the regulatory body, monitoring progress, lending their advisory expertise to the issues of the day, and supporting the role of the PGO as the professional regulator for geoscientists in Ontario.

Over the history of the PGO, many of our registrants have volunteered to serve on Council and their experiences were overwhelmingly positive. We ask that you volunteer some of your time and talent and join your colleagues in serving the public interest through PGO.

Interested in volunteering for a committee? See our Volunteer Opportunities page here.
