Call for Volunteers: Finance Committee

Professional Geoscientists Ontario is seeking volunteers to serve on its Finance Committee. The Committee's mandate is to monitor the process of financial planning and financial management of PGO, provide financial recommendations to PGO and report the financial status of PGO. Who Can Apply

PGO welcomes registrants in good standing and/or members of the public who are/has:

•  Experience in financial management, audit and risk management.
•  The ability to analyze financial information and provide clear and objective input to support decision making.
•  The ability to connect financial decisions to the organization’s mandate of protecting the public interest.
•  An understanding of governance and fiduciary responsibilities with a commitment to integrity and transparency.

Commitment & How to Apply

Meetings take place twice a year. The first meeting is to go over the budget in the Fall and a review of the audited financial statements in early Spring. Hours incurred by P.Geo.s count as CPD hours.
