Each field offers a distinct perspective on geophysical practice, and we aim for representation from each to ensure comprehensive expertise. While we welcome interdisciplinary perspectives, especially where geoscience intersects with engineering, please note this is a PGO subcommittee and falls within the regulatory scope of geoscience practice.
Ideal candidates will have 5–10 years of relevant experience and currently be active in their field. Participation may include up to four meetings per year, with additional meetings scheduled as needed.
If you or someone you know meets these criteria and is committed to supporting excellence in geoscience practice, we encourage you to express your interest. Please apply by June 30, 2025, by completing the online expression of interest form and submitting a short CV to info@pgo.ca with a subject line: Geophysics Subcommittee Volunteer Position. Applications may exceed the number of volunteer positions available.
We appreciate everyone's interest and will be in touch with those whose skills and background are the best fit for this specific Subcommittee. Even if this isn't the right opportunity for you right now, we encourage you to keep an eye out for future volunteer roles with PGO.
