About Claire Milloy, P.Geo.

Claire Milloy, P.Geo. joined Council as South East Regional Councillor in 2021. Claire holds a MSc in Civil Engineering, specializing in fractured rock hydrogeology. She is now a conservation authority hydrogeologist based in Ottawa with over 15 years experience in hydrogeological research, consulting work, and provincial regulatory and planning duties.

Claire is an active professional in the hydrogeological industry in Eastern Ontario. She also takes an active role in mentoring staff and geoscience students. Claire brings the same zest and passion to her role as Councillor at PGO. She is an active member of Complaints Committee and Environmental Geoscience Subcommittee. She is Chair of PGO’s Communication Working Group, which is responsible for developing the PGO Communication Policy that will guide the development and implementation of PGO’s communication plan. Along with the PGO Registrar, Claire, in her role as South East Regional Councillor, co-led the outreach to universities in Eastern Ontario.

As VP, Claire’s main goal is to promote engagement with various stakeholders to communicate PGO’s regulatory mandate of protecting the public.
