Who can take the exam?

To be eligible to write the Professional Practice and Ethics exam, an applicant must have an active application for professional/limited membership, or be enrolled as a Geoscientist-in-training and have submitted a change of designation application.
 
An applicant does not have to take the Professional Practice and Ethics examination if:

  • They are applying for registration under the Inter-Association Mobility Agreement and are a professional geoscientist in good standing with another Canadian association/ordre; or
  • They have previously passed a professional practice examination for Engineers Canada in any jurisdiction or Geoscientist Canada constituent association/ordre.

Apply to write the exam

To apply to write the exam, complete the form and send it directly to APEGA, along with the application fee of $262.50 (GST included). It must be received by the deadline to apply to be accepted.
