Calling all P.Geo.’s, Geoscientists-in-Training, and Student Members of PGO!

Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO) invites its registrants, geoscientists-in-training, and student members to participate in a photo contest aimed at showcasing the geoscience profession. Participants have a unique opportunity to educate the public about the vital role geoscientists play in protecting the public and the environment.

We are seeking high-quality, original photographs that reflect your geoscience work, whether that is engaging fieldwork, innovative technological applications, or stunning natural landscapes that you study. Your submissions will help raise awareness about geoscience and demonstrate why it is a trusted and essential profession.

Selected photos will be featured in a gallery where PGO registrants, geoscientists-in-training, and student members can view and vote for their favorites. Winners will be determined based on this voting.

Prizes

  • 1st Prize: $500 (Featured as the cover for the PGO 2025-2026 Annual Report)
