PGO is pleased to host a regional engagement event in Sudbury.  Led by North East Regional Councillor, Michaela Kuuskman, P.Geo., this session offers the local geoscience community an opportunity to connect, share regional perspectives, and contribute insights that inform PGO’s work of advancing public protection.

Learn how PGO safeguards the public and explore ways to support this vital work through your professional participation.

This event is open to PGO Registrants, Geoscientists-in-Training, geoscience students, Certificate of Authorization (C of A) holders, employers, and related professionals in the geoscience sector including those from government at all levels, academia, and the general public.

Michaela Kuuskman, P.Geo.
PGO North East Regional Councillor

Michaela Kuuskman, P.Geo., is the Vice President of Finance and Projects and Senior Geologist at Orix Geoscience Inc. Her career has focused on grassroots and brownfields exploration, managing field projects across Canada, including Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Nunavut.

Michaela has served as a member of the PGO Council since 2022 and is active in a number of PGO key committees.

Chantal Jolette, P.Geo.
Principal Geologist
Qualitica Consulting Inc.

Chantal is the co-founder and owner of Qualitica Consulting Inc. where they offer a range of services to help mining and exploration clients comply with industry guidelines and practices. Some of the services include: assay importing, assay monitoring, quality control reporting, data reviewing, as well as database and laboratory auditing.

Chantal was born and raised in the Northern Ontario Township of McGarry (a.k.a V-Town). After earning their B.Sc. at the University of Ottawa in 2001, Chantal relocated to Sudbury, Ontario to start their career in exploration and mining related geology and start a family. When Chantal is not working, they enjoy a variety of crafty hobbies and keep their mind and body going by lifting heavy things on a regular basis.


Sébastien Bernier, P.Geo.
Senior Vice President
Technical Services, Allied Gold Corp.

Sébastien Bernier has extensive experience in mine geology, Mineral Resource estimation, and strategic life-of-mine planning.
