CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

PGO 2020 COUNCIL ELECTION - CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO) is calling for nominations for the PGO Council starting in the 2020-2021 term. There are three positions open for nominations for this year’s Council Election.

  • Vice President – This is a progressive three-year term whereby the elected representative will serve as the VP for 2020-2021, President for 2021-2022, and Past-President for 2022-2023. Candidates must have at least one year of experience on Council.
  • South West Regional Councillor – Three-year term, 2020-2023. Candidates must reside in the region.
  • South East Regional Councillor – Three-year term, 2020-2023. Candidates must reside in the region.

FOR APPOINTMENT

  • Non-Member (Public) Appointee to Council – Three-year term, 2020-2023. Candidates must reside in Ontario.
  • Lieutenant Governor in Council Member Appointee – Three-year term, 2020-2023. Candidates must reside in Ontario.
  • Lieutenant Governor in Council Non-member Appointee – Three-year term, 2020-2023. Candidates must reside in Ontario.

To be nominated, each candidate must submit:
  1. Their signed letter of consent to be added to the slate of nominees and to serve on Council if elected; 
  2. A curriculum vitae and a completed Expression of Interest Form; and
  3. Their completed and signed Nomination Form showing the support of at least of 5 PGO members in good standing (a listing of members-in-good-standing is available in PGO’s public register at www.pgo.ca. The nomination form is appended to this notice. 
Only full practising, temporary, or limited PGO members-in-good-standing may be nominated.
