ABOUT THE SPEAKER


Liese Coulter – Research Fellow, Municipal Natural Assets Initiative, Resilience by Design Lab 

Liese Coulter works at the intersection of climate narratives, climate knowledge and how we think about the future. Her study of Science, Technology and Society connects personal perspectives and professional roles. Partnered with the Resilience by Design Lab and the Municipal Natural Assets Initiative in a Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship, Dr Coulter is researching practices where communities can incorporate natural assets in infrastructure management and the learning needed to do this in a warming world. Her climate action research aims to contribute to communities, well-being and achieving collective goals. Currently Associate Faculty at Royal Roads University, Dr Coulter previously held a Mitacs Science Policy Fellowship with the government of British Columbia and a Postdoctoral Fellow in Climate Risk Storylines at the University of Leeds with the H2020 funded RECEIPT project.
