Christian Naponse, Community Affairs Coordinator, Côté Gold Project, IAMGOLD
Christian Naponse is the Community Affairs Coordinator for the Côté Gold Project and has been with the Project for 4 years. Côté Gold will be an open-pit gold mine in Northern Ontario serviced by autonomous haul trucks and drills. It has a potential mine life of 18+ years and will employ over 450 full time positions during Operations.
Prior to working with IAMGOLD, Christian worked for her community of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek as Consultation Coordinator, working for the community as a liaison with local mining companies. As a mother of 3 girls, Christian understands that working in collaboration with community partners is the best way to ensure a positive future for 7 generations.
