Organisational resilience is the concept of how an organisation can/should anticipate, prepare, respond and recover. Essentially it is the structure and discipline as to how Enterprise Risk Management, Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity all fit together. The presentation will include update on the global threat and will touch on how companies can think more laterally and completely about their concerns and exposures to effectively manage risks while staying focus on opportunities and meeting objectives.

Aleck Burrell, CPP
Chief Operations Officer, NYA Risk

Aleck Burrell has been part of both the NYA response and consulting teams for over six years. Aleck’s role as a response consultant requires him to regularly advise C-Suite, Crisis Management Teams and Incident Management Teams on a wide range of serious incident response considerations including but not limited to: kidnap, cyber extortion, evacuation, piracy, detention, security planning, incident management, as well as a plethora of inexact and challenging crises and incidents. As an NYA security consultant Aleck has been involved in a multitude of security projects around the world and holds a Masters in Security and Risk Management and is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP).  Previously a Royal Marines Commando, Aleck served 20 years as a decorated commissioned officer much of it overseas including multiple combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hal Huff, CIP
Managing Partner, Partners Indemnity Insurance Brokers Ltd.

Hal Huff manages his own insurance operation in Partners Indemnity specializing in the energy and health care sectors. He implemented specialized insurance programs for both the energy and health care industries. Hal established underwriting management agreements with specialty insurance companies to support the mining industry. He helped build an international network of insurance brokers and insurance companies to serve its geological and energy industry in over 110 countries. In 2007, Hal implemented and has managed the speciality insurance program designed for PDAC and APGO consultant members.

Jo Anne Raymond, CAIB, CRM
Manager of Insurance Risk Solutions at Partners Indemnity Insurance Brokers Ltd.

Jo Anne manages commercial clients including specialty insurance solutions for the energy industry. She oversees the day to day management of the PDAC-APGO client service team at Partners Indemnity.
